Attachments.expert LWC Component

Attachments.expert supports as Lightning Web Component to store your files in most efficient way. You can place this LWC Component on various places e.g. Lightning Record Page, Digital Experience Sites(Community), Flows.

Setup on Lightning Record Page

  • Navigate to the Lightning Record Page of the desired object (e.g., ’Account’).

  • Scroll down on the left pane to locate the ’Attachments.expert’ component in the Custom- Managed section

  • Drag and drop the component to the desired location.

  • Click on ’Save’ and activate the changes.

Note: The ”Attachments.expert” will not show if you have not configured the object. To configure the object, please refer to the Administrator Guide for the same.

Setup on Digital Experience site(Community Page)

Note: Ensure that the Digital Experience (Community) setting is enabled in your Salesforce org. For detailed steps on setting up a community site, please click here

  • Navigate to Setup and search for ”Digital Experiences” in the Quick Find Box.

  • Click on All Sites.

  • Click on ”Builder” next on preferred community site

  • Navigate to the desired page where you want to use ”Attachments.expert”.

  • Click on the Components section/option and search for the ”Attachments.expert” component.

  • Drag the component and drop it into the desired location on the page.

  • Provide the Record Id as {!recordId}

  • Publish the Community site.

Setup in Salesforce Flow

  • Navigate to the Flows.

  • Click on ”New Flow”.

  • Select ”Screen Flow” and click ”Create”

  • Click on the ”+” and add the ”Screen” component.

  • Search for the ”Attachments.expert” component in the component section.

  • Drag and drop it onto the Screen.

  • Provide a name for the Attachments.expert component.Click on the Record ID field and select ”+ New Resource”.

  • Create a variable of type ’Text’ and check the ’Available for input’ checkbox.

  • Verify if the variable selected in the RecordId field. If it is not selected, please select it.

  • Save and activate the flow.

  • Now, navigate to the desired Lightning Record page, add the created Flow, and select it. Check the checkbox labeled ”Pass recordID into this variable.” Also, you can utilize a quick action to access the Flow.”
