Layout Manager

In this section, you can manage all your layouts in one place and perform various operations.

Table Actions
  • New: It allows you to create a new layout.

  • Refresh: It updates the list of layouts to reflect recent changes.

Row Actions:

  • Design: Customize the structure and appearance of a layout, allowing you to arrange components and define the layout's visual style.

  • Preview: View the layout as it will appear to end-users before publishing, ensuring that it meets your design and functionality expectations.

  • Edit: Modify existing layout label, to update or refine the layout as needed.

  • Delete: Removes an existing layout from the system permanently and allowing for the creation of new layouts.

  • Publish: Make the layout available for use by publishing it, allowing it to be used within your Salesforce environment by end-users.

  • Publish as Tab: Make the layout available for use as a Lightning tab, allowing it to be used within your Salesforce.

  • Publish as App: Make the layout available for use as a Lightning app.

  • Publish as Component: Make the layout available for use as a component.

Note:

  • To add the layout to a desired Lightning page, you must first click Publish. Once published, the layout can be added to the selected Lightning page, Digital Experience page.

  • Once published, layout can not be deleted. If you want to forcefully delete the layout, please refer the steps here.

The Layout Manager's List View provides the following information:

Label

Displays the name of the layout.

Name

Shows the unique API name associated with the layout.

Note: This field cannot be edited.

Type

Indicates the type of layout.

Created By

Shows the date and time when the layout was created.

Created On

Displays the date of when the layout was created.

Last Modified by

Displays the name of the user who last modified the layout.

Last Modified On

Shows the date and time when the last modifications were made.
