Rating Attribute Configuration

Attributes

In this section, you can see various attributes that appear while configuring the Rating component. These attributes include:

Attribute Name	Description
Record Object	This represents the object for which the configuration is created. The object is already selected, as it was chosen during the initial configuration. Note: This field is disabled if the user selects 'Non-Record Page' in the configuration.
Record to Preview	This feature allows users to select an object record to see how the Rating will appear in the preview section after making changes. Note: This field is not available if the user selects 'Non-Record Page' in the configuration.
Label	You can set the title for the Rating here. Note: It offers various value sources to assign to the label which you can explore from reference Reference: Value source.
Icon Type	This feature allows users to choose the style of icons or symbols that will be displayed to users when they rate or provide feedback. Note: For Static icon type, You can choose either Circle Smiley Star
Max Value	This option allows you to take maximum value of rating from your users. For example, You can set the maximum rating value here, such as 10, or use another value source. This will define the highest rating users can give and ensure they cannot exceed this limit. Note: By default, max value is set as 5. It offers various value sources to assign which you can explore Reference: Max Value.
Value	This option allows you to display the rating on your component based on the value you provide, which can be either static or from other sources. For example, You can configure a product object field called "Rating" or provide a static value, such as 5, in this attribute. This will display the rating for a specific product based on the record or the static value provided. This field will store the rating whenever a user gives a rating using this component, and vice versa. Note: You can use the value attribute to set or retrieve the value from different value sources which you can explore Reference: Value.
No. of Icons	This option allows you to select the number of icon you want to displayed in your Rating. Note: By default, the number of icons is set to 5, with a maximum limit of 10 icons. You can provide a dynamic value from various sources which you can explore Reference: No of Icon.
Size	This option allows users to set different sizes for the rating component. Note: Rating sizes are available in four sizes x-small Small Medium Large
Show Value	This option allows users to display the rating value given by others. For example, if a user gives a 5-star rating for your product, the value "5" will appear slightly above the rating component. Note: You can control the value of this checkbox by setting or passing the value from various sources which you can explore Reference: Value Source.
Read Only	If this option is checked, the user cannot change or edit the value from the page or preview.
Padding Location	You can set the padding location for components (e.g., 'around,' 'left') to create space around them. After setting the location, you can adjust the padding size accordingly.
Margin Location	You can set the margin location for components (e.g., 'around,' 'left'). After setting the location, you can adjust the margin size accordingly.

Value Source:

In this section, users can choose from various input sources, including:

Custom Metadata
Custom Setting
Record Field (available only in record page configuration)
Static Value

These input sources allow you to pass or set values for various attributes or fields.

Custom Settings	Use custom setting records to assign the values.
Record Field	Use a record field value from a selected Object. Note: This option is only available when the page type is set to Record Page Config. Please refer to the Page Type section for more information.
Static	You can provide a static fixed value.
Value Source	It provides list of various value sources for assigning the value for input. Note: By default the value source is selected as static.

For non-record pages, the attributes are similar, but some options may be unavailable, such as "Object Name" and "Record Preview.
