Instance: The instance is a collection of workspaces where the user can install and create his own application using Orektic App Builder’s highly intuitive feature. To use the Orektic App Builder user must have an instance. The user can create an instance for his use or can be invited by the other user for the instance with a defined access level by profile.
There are two types of instances in Orektic App Builder:
Super Instance: This contains standard metadata. It is generally managed by the super admin
Custom instance: This could be created by the registered users other than super admins, containing standard metadata along with custom, as required to be created by the user
Warehouse: In the Orektic App Builder the user can decide in which region he wants to store his data by selecting the warehouse for his instance as per his preference. Currently, Orektic App Builder supports two warehouses i.e IN1 and US1. All the data created under the instance will be saved in the region as per the selected warehouse at the instance level.
Instance Creation:
User needs to provide the following information while creating the instance
Label: Denotes the label of the instance to be created
Prefix: This uniquely identifies the instance with some other instance, globally. Any metadata created, will have the instance prefix prepended
Warehouse: This specifies the region under which the instance is to be created
The user can access the instance if he is the author/creator of the instance or an invited member to that instance.
