What is Instance?
In order to create and manage application specific data/ metadata (for e.g.: Layout, Component, Objects, reports, listviews, Applications, etc.), we require instance.It is a collection of workspaces.

a. Super Instance - This contains standard metadata. It is generally managed by super admin.

The user can access the instance if he is the author/ creator of the instance or an invited member to that instance.Instance once created will have a default workspace created.
